In 1996, entrepreneurs Didier Berling and Loic Bonthonneau recognized challenges in the ATM industry. Their solution emerged from a retirement conversation and Irish spirit. In 2001, SkySoft-ATM revolutionized ATM solutions with Swiss excellence. Now led by CEO Claude Levacher, the journey continues.
It all began in the 1996 with a personal feeling from our ATM technical projects leadership and expertise in addition to regular client visits worldwide which led us to this notable observation at that time: the ATM industry faced hardware complexities and proprietary communication layers, leaving clients dependent and constrained. It was seen as challenges to be met.
In 1996, Didier Berling and Loic Bonthonneau pitched their solution at an entrepreneurship contest, answering to the exposed challenges, and facing initial enthusiasm but then resistance.
A couple of years later, a retirement conversation (and some Guinness’s later) sparked real enthusiasm and led to the birth of Airsoft with Irish spirit, backed by their expertise, pragmatism, innovation spirit and a vision for easy maintenance.
Fast forward to our breakthrough with Swisscontrol in 2001 with the creation of SkySoft-ATM, marking the beginning of our journey towards innovative ATM solutions with Swiss excellence.
